Tobias Kehrer was born in Dessau. He received his musical edu- cation at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, vocal studies with Professor Siegfried Lorenz, leaving the Hochschule with the diplo- ma in February 2011. Starting in the 2012 / 2013 season at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as a regular company member, Tobias Kehrer will have completed immediately before the one year's scholarship ”Franz-Josef-Weis- weiler” awarded by the  Förderkreis of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He interprets roles like Commendatore / Don Giovanni, Sarastro / Die Zauberflöte, Sparafucile / Rigoletto, Coline / La Bohème, Orest / Elektra, Rocco / Fidelio, Osmin / Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Steffano Colonna / Rienzi, Fafner / Das Rheingold, Titurel / Parsifal, Daland / Der fliegende Holländer. New Ring-Cycle (2020 - 2022): Fafner and Hunding (leading team: Stefan Herheim / Sir Donald Runnicles). 2014 / 2015: debut Metropolitan Opera New York, Die Zauberflöte / Sarastro with re-engagement for the 2017 / 2018 season.
